Have an API available for workforce to integrate into other CRM systems, e.g. we use Insightly CRM for sales and would love to be able to integrate project creation and invoicing

an open API in general is probably needed for this system.

Maybe make sure that this will be possible through API integration:
Yes. a PDF can't be imported by a commercial customer into their system, meaning that they will have to manually process invoices which if they are a national or in our case a multi-national that would be an undeliverable amount of work for a company on that scale
An API needs to make ALL data fields available and not have Workfoce decide what we need as individual users, you see companies go down this route so often and do the work based on their opinion rather than literally make the data freely available for import/export to solve an issue that the original company didn't account for in each customers business.
Please if you do this make sure you do not limit the process or you are missing the point for it's very need to start with.
