In Settings -> Roles and Permissions -> have an option to add this rule/condition to custom roles e.g. show the items on the mobile app, but hide the cost items.

This feature is available to be used under Settings -> Work Settings -> Roles and Permissions -> a permission has been added for hiding costs for cost items on the mobile app.

yes that would be very handy
Engineers can add parts used without showing cost, and cost can be adjusted before invoicing .
At the moment we have sub section where employees enter parts used then office staff have to retype them in cost items  
That would save lots of time for us
