We are glad to let you know that we have implemented a new feature called Deposits for all Ultimate accounts.
From now on you will be able to add deposits to jobs before actually completing a job.

We have a work round which enables us through adding a project job to the main job and taking a deposit for the job through a saved cost item called Deposit for job, then completing this project job and raising deposit invoice. We then go to cost items on the scheduled job and put a negative value in as the deposit, leaving a residue amount on the future invoice.
It would though be very useful if the deposit invoice just said Deposit, as some customers think we are asking for the deposit again!
